The University of Maiduguri Management has issued a reminder to all staff regarding the importance of switching off electrical points and appliances after office hours. This directive follows a report from the Task Force on Electricity Supply on Campus, which was discussed during the Top Management Committee's 131st meeting held on October 29, 2024.

The university urged staff to ensure compliance with the directive to reduce unnecessary energy consumption and prevent potential fire hazards. The Chief Security Officer has been tasked with monitoring compliance, and any violations will be addressed according to existing regulations.
