University of Maiduguri's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, Receives Congratulatory Visit from ICAN Delegation

Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, welcomed a delegation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Maiduguri/Damaturu and District Society on Monday, September 30, 2024.

The visit was to congratulate Professor Mele on his appointment as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University.

This visit marks another milestone in Professor Mele's journey as Vice-Chancellor, following his appointment by the University's Governing Council on September 18, 2024 ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵[7).

As a distinguished scholar in English Language and Linguistics, Professor Mele brings over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and community service to his new role. Previously, he served as the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Central Administration) ¹[2).
