The University of Manchester has announced 330 scholarship opportunities for international students from Africa, as part of its Global Futures Scholarship initiative. The scholarships will be awarded to students from six African countries: Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

These scholarships are designed to support both undergraduate and postgraduate students commencing their studies in September 2024. For undergraduate recipients, the award totals £21,000, spread across three years, with £7,000 given each year. Postgraduate students may receive up to £15,000, which is applied as a tuition fee reduction. Both categories require students to maintain academic excellence to continue receiving the award each year​

Applicants must have received an offer to study at the University of Manchester and meet the scholarship's eligibility criteria, including academic performance and domicile in the eligible countries. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, ensuring a balanced representation of gender, course of study, and student nationality.

These scholarships aim to support the academic journey of talented African students in various fields such as Business, Engineering, and Life Sciences​
