University of Mkar Confers Letters of Credence to Seven Newly Appointed Ambassadors
University of Mkar, Mkar, celebrated the appointment of seven new goodwill ambassadors who will support and promote the University’s growth and development.
The University of Mkar, Mkar, hosted a historic investiture ceremony for the appointment of seven new goodwill ambassadors. The event, held at the University Council Chambers, saw Vice-Chancellor Professor Zacharys Anger Gundu express heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished personalities who accepted the call to serve as ambassadors for the University.
In his address, Professor Gundu praised the appointees for their passion and commitment to the University's vision. He outlined their duties, which include creating awareness about the University and mobilizing support in terms of financial, spiritual, and material resources for its sustainable growth and development.
The Vice-Chancellor presented letters of credence to the ambassadors, with the formal decoration being coordinated by Comrade Dan Nyikwagh, Senior Special Assistant and member of the University of Mkar, Mkar Crowdfunding Team. In their acceptance speeches, the new ambassadors expressed immense appreciation for the honor and pledged to commit themselves to their roles to promote and support the University

The newly appointed ambassadors and their designated areas of influence are as follows:
1. Prof. Barnabas Achakpa Ikyo - UniMkar's Ambassador in the Mkar Old Students Association.
2. Hon. Saater Tiseer - UniMkar's Ambassador in the Mbagwa State Constituency.
3. Hon. Alfred Berger - UniMkar's Ambassador in the Makurdi North State Constituency.
4. Hon. Douglas Akya - UniMkar's Ambassador in the Makurdi South State Constituency.

5. Mr. Adaaku Calvin Adaaki - UniMkar's Ambassador in the Makurdi Business Community.

The event concluded with remarks and commitments from the ambassadors. Hon. Saater Tiseer, Majority Leader of the Benue State House of Assembly, along with Hon. Alfred Berger and Hon. Douglas Akya, pledged to renovate and upgrade the lavatories in one of the female students' halls of residence, a project estimated to cost over a million naira, within three months.
Additionally, Ambassador Prof. Barnabas Achakpa Ikyo promised to initiate a project aimed at adding significant value to the University. Mr. Adaaku Calvin Adaaki and Mr. Tim Cuttings Agber also committed to spearheading various initiatives to further the University's development.
