The University of Mkar recently held its 16th and 17th UMM Distinguished Public Lectures, with Professor Zacharys Anger Gundu, Vice-Chancellor of the university, representing the Council, Senate, and entire university community. The events, chaired by Philip Sunday Udeochu and Engr. Nick Wende, respectively, were a resounding success.

The lectures featured two prominent speakers:
