UNIZIK Zoology Department Awards Scholarships to Indigent Students

The Department of Zoology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) awarded ₦100,000 scholarships to three indigent students on August 15th. The presentation was made by Professor C.D. Ezeonyejiaku, the Head of the Department, and Professor I.O. Igwilo, the Working Dean, along with other academic staff.

 In a landmark initiative, the Department of Zoology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has awarded scholarship grants to three deserving students.

On Thursday, August 15th, 2024, the Head of the Department, Professor C.D. Ezeonyejiaku, alongside the Working Dean, Professor I.O. Igwilo, and several other academic staff members, presented the scholarships during a special ceremony.

Each student received a grant of ₦100,000, aimed at supporting their educational pursuits and alleviating financial burdens. This scholarship is a pioneering effort within the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UNIZIK, marking the first time such financial support has been provided specifically to indigent students in the Zoology department.
