Ahmadu Bello University to Host 2024 National Agricultural Extension Review Meeting
The event will bring together agricultural scientists, specialists, and key stakeholders to address the theme of the meeting.
Ahmadu Bello University’s National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS) will host the 2024 National Agricultural Extension Review and Planning Meeting (NAERPM) from December 2 to 4 at the university’s Ultra-modern Conference Hall in Zaria.
The meeting will be declared open by the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, and will feature a keynote lecture by Prof. Sani Miko, former Country Director of SG 2000. Themed ‘Climate Change: Rethinking Agric Research, Extension and Cropping Patterns in Nigeria’, the three-day event will focus on reviewing agricultural research and extension achievements from 2024 and planning for 2025.
Prof. Y.A. Sani, Executive Director of NAERLS, noted that the meeting aims to harmonize agricultural research and extension activities, minimize resource wastage, and foster greater stakeholder collaboration. The event will bring together agricultural scientists, specialists, and key stakeholders to address the theme of the meeting.
