UNN Announces Disbursement of TETFund Research Grants
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has announced that 21 research projects have been approved for funding under the 2024 TETFund Institutional-Based Research program. Researchers will receive 60% of the grant now, with the remaining 40% payable upon publication of their findings in a reputable journal.
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has announced the disbursement of funds for the TETFund Institutional-Based Research (IBR) projects for the year 2024. A total of 21 research proposals have been approved for funding, with the initial 60% tranche now available for the recipients.
Each selected project will receive 60% of the total grant amount upfront. The remaining 40% will be disbursed upon submission of a published research article in a reputable journal with an impact factor of 3 or higher. Researchers are also required to acknowledge TETFund as a sponsor in their publications.
Recipients are instructed to open an IBR Bank account for the funds, submit quarterly progress reports, and provide a completion report and three bound copies of their final research report within three months of project completion.
The list of awarded projects includes research on topics such as solar power systems, conflict resolution strategies, and biogas generation. The full details of the grant amounts and research topics are outlined in the memorandum on the university's website issued by the TETFund Committee.
