The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has taken a significant step toward enhancing access to higher education by announcing the inclusion of 22 state-owned universities in its student loan program. This move expands the initial offering of 48 state institutions to a total of 70 eligible state universities.

In an official statement posted on their website, NELFUND revealed that students from the newly onboarded state-owned institutions, along with the previously announced 48 universities, can now apply for student loans. The expansion aims to provide financial support to a broader range of students pursuing tertiary education across Nigeria.
