The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) discovered a concerning trend where candidates were presenting forged ND (National Diploma) or NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) results during the admission process.
JAMB's standard procedure demands that candidates' ND or NCE results be available before their preferred institution releases its post-UTME form. However, the prevalence of falsified results became evident, prompting JAMB to take action. As a response, they decided to postpone the Direct Entry (DE) admission offers until after each polytechnic or college has had an opportunity to verify and confirm the authenticity of the candidates' results.

This delay in the DE admission process is aimed at ensuring the integrity of the admissions and preventing the admission of candidates based on forged credentials. JAMB emphasizes the need for transparency and authenticity in the admissions process and urges all stakeholders to await the results until the verification process is complete.
The decision by JAMB aims to address the issue of fraudulent practices and uphold the credibility of the admissions system. Unless there are legitimate ways to influence the process, candidates and concerned parties are advised to patiently await the verified results for a fair and transparent admission procedure.
This development signifies a crucial step taken by JAMB to maintain the integrity of admissions into tertiary institutions and emphasizes the importance of honesty and authenticity in the application process.
