UPDATED: 2024 General Admission Requirements for UNIJOS

To gain admission into the University of Jos as an undergraduate student, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have at least five credits in your O’Level examination, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • You must score at least 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
  • You must participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise conducted by the university and score at least the minimum cut-off mark for your desired course.

It is important to note that admission into some courses, such as Medicine and Surgery, Law, and Pharmacy, may require higher UTME and Post-UTME scores.

  • You must have a minimum of a second-class lower division in your undergraduate degree program.
  • You must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, or be exempted from it.
  • You must pass the entrance examination and interview conducted by the university.
