Veteran Journalist Breaks Barriers, Joins Legal Profession at 66

Gifty Afenyi Dadzie, a veteran 66-year-old Ghanaian journalist and former President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), recently celebrated a significant milestone as she was called to the Bar.

Joining a cohort of 182 newly qualified lawyers inducted into the legal profession on Friday, May 31, 2024, Dadzie took to Facebook on Sunday, June 2, to share her joy and offer words of encouragement to others, especially women, not to relent in pursuing their dreams regardless of age.

"Celebrating the goodness of God for the opportunity to live my life-long dream," she wrote, expressing gratitude for achieving her aspiration to become a lawyer.

Dadzie's journey to the Bar was marked by unwavering determination, as she emphasized that age and gender should never hinder one's path to success. "Age should never be a barrier to success, and neither should your gender," she remarked, urging aspiring individuals, particularly young women, to pursue their aspirations relentlessly.
