Wesley University Ondo Receives NUC Approval to Launch Medicine, Pharmacy, and New Programs for 2024/2025

The approval marks a strategic step forward for the university under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Rt. Rev. Prof. Samuel Sunday Obeka.
A statement issued by the NUC, signed by Acting Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar Girei, on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary, revealed that the university’s proposed programs successfully passed the resource verification process. Expert panels from the NUC conducted visits to assess Wesley University's human and material resources before granting the approval.
The newly approved programs include Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPhysio), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), B.Sc. Anatomy, B.Sc. Physiology, B.HIM Health Information Management, and postgraduate degrees in Theology (PGD, M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D.).
This achievement aligns with the university's strategic goals of expanding its academic offerings at its permanent site, reinforcing its position as a forward-thinking institution. Vice-Chancellor Obeka expressed gratitude to the Methodist Church Nigeria for its continued support and congratulated the university community on this landmark achievement.
