Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, the Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), has challenged the newly elected executive council members of the college's Alumni Association to ensure the rapid development and functionality of the Association during their tenure.

The Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, has issued a challenge to the recently elected executive council members of the college's Alumni Association. During a courtesy visit by the Board of Trustees and the newly elected executives, Dr. Abdul emphasized the importance of ensuring the rapid development, relevance, functionality, and vibrancy of the Association throughout their tenure.

Led by Wing Commander Samuel Ajayi (rtd), the Board of Trustees introduced the newly elected executives to the college management. Wing Commander Ajayi commended Dr. Abdul for his role in resolving issues surrounding the election process and facilitating a successful election.

In his address, the newly elected President of the YABATECH Alumni Association, Yemi Osibajo, expressed gratitude to the college management for their support in conducting the election after a two-year hiatus in executive leadership. Osibajo underscored the vital role of alumni in the growth of institutions and emphasized the need for a symbiotic relationship between the college and its alumni for mutual benefits.

Osibajo requested several considerations from the college, including the release of collected alumni dues, reinstatement of direct payment processes to the Association's bank account, protection of the Association's interests, and inclusion of the Alumni President as a member of the college's Governing Council.

In response, Dr. Abdul welcomed the new executive council members and highlighted the challenges and responsibilities of leadership. He urged them to foster unity within the Association and reach out to factions to ensure collective progress. Dr. Abdul assured the Alumni of YABATECH's full support for their endeavors, emphasizing constant communication and collaboration for mutual growth.
