Matthew emphasized that the challenges faced by Black individuals in passing the bar exam were not due to a lack of effort or intelligence but were rooted in systemic racial barriers.

On May 25, 2023, Matthew Graham was officially sworn in as a licensed attorney to the State of Maryland Bar. He proudly shared this milestone on his Facebook page, stating, "Matthew Kobby Graham, Esquire. Attorney at Law. On the 25th of May 2023, I have officially been sworn in as a licensed attorney to the State of Maryland Bar. This long chapter has finally ended."
