Twenty medical students, including twelve from the University of Jos (UniJos), were abducted in Otukpo, Benue State. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N50 million.

Sambo Nancwat Peter, President of UniJos Student Union Government (SUG), confirmed the incident and stated that the university management and SUG are collaborating with the Benue State Commissioner of Police to secure the students' release.
