In a remarkable achievement, 18-year-old Princess Korkor Boateng has set a new standard by becoming the youngest Chartered Accountant in Ghana. Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration as a final-year undergraduate at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), Princess has secured her professional qualification, setting a record not only in her university but also in the entire country.

Princess embarked on her academic journey at a young age, gaining admission to the University of Ghana at 14. She expressed excitement about being recognized as the youngest Chartered Accountant in Ghana, attributing her success to unwavering dedication and hard work.

"It feels good to be the youngest Chartered Accountant of Ghana because my hard work and dedication in the journey got recognized," she shared.

Acknowledging the crucial role played by her parents in her journey, Princess extended her gratitude for their financial, emotional, and mental support. Inspired by her mother, who is also an accountant, Princess emphasized the significance of professional membership in differentiating Chartered Accountants from their counterparts.

Despite facing challenges in combining her first-degree course with the demanding professional course, Princess remained focused on her goal. She revealed that her dream job is to work for the World Bank, with a long-term aspiration to become a financial analyst.

Reflecting on her unconventional path, Princess encouraged others, especially those in her age group, to pursue their goals without limitations. "I think everybody has a different path to follow, they have their own different goals. But if you are very smart and you feel you can pursue your goals at a very young age, then I think you should go for it and you should not allow anything to limit you at all," she advised.

In an interview with BBC, Princess detailed her journey, explaining that she started her education at the nursery level, eventually gaining early admission to the University of Ghana at 14. Learning the professional course alongside her first-degree studies, she successfully became a Chartered Accountant at the age of 18.
