Sarah Gomez-Lane, an extraordinary 6-year-old from Virginia, has achieved a remarkable victory by winning the 2018 Doodle for Google contest, surpassing 182,000 competitors, and earning a $30,000 scholarship.

The theme of this 10th-anniversary contest was "What inspires you?" Sarah's passions and creativity shone brightly as she illustrated her inspirations.During a stormy day last year, when the power went out at her school, Sarah decided to draw dinosaurs because she aspires to become a paleontologist one day, shared her mother, Maria Gomez.

Among 182,000 entries, Sarah emerged as the overall winner of the Doodle for Google contest. The school intends to utilize these funds to purchase interactive smart boards, as reported by WJLA. "When they called my name, I was surprised," Sarah exclaimed.

The winner was officially announced after Google invited finalists from each grade level to its headquarters in California, where they had the opportunity to engage with Google's professional doodlers for the day.

Sarah's interactive dinosaur drawing was featured on the United States Google homepage. What makes her achievement even more special is that she became the first winner ever to collaborate with Google's artists to bring her drawing to life, transforming her artwork into an animated, interactive experience.
