David Morris, a 74-year-old resident of Missouri, has defied the odds and overcome numerous obstacles to realize his lifelong aspiration of obtaining a university degree. Graduating from Harris Stowe State University, David made history as the oldest graduate both in his class and at the institution.
His journey towards academic success began in 1973 when he embarked on a mission to earn his college degree after being drafted into the military. However, various challenges, including personal tragedies such as the loss of family members and health setbacks like suffering a stroke in 2007, impeded his progress.
