Abia State Government, under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, has reiterated its dedication to ensuring high-quality education at all levels within the state. The governor made this commitment during the 4th convocation ceremony of Clifford University in Ihie, Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Abia State.

Governor Alex Otti, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, emphasized the administration's determination to produce competent graduates capable of global competition. He assured that substantial resources would be invested in preparing and transforming the youth to meet the challenges of the global landscape.

In a press statement by Authority Michael Ukpabi, Special Assistant on Media to the Deputy Governor, Governor Otti commended the efforts of the Governing Council and the school management for their unwavering commitment to building an institution of academic excellence. He encouraged them to model their standards after renowned institutions like Harvard University.

As a demonstration of support for Clifford University, Governor Otti announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art E-Library equipped with digital resources. This initiative, sponsored by the Dr. Alex Otti Foundation, aims to provide students with access to up-to-date information and the latest research in various fields.

The vice chancellor, Professor Chimezie A. Omeonu, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Governing Council for the governor's generous gesture. He pledged the university's commitment to working collaboratively with the present administration to transform the education sector in Abia State.
