Abia State University Uturu Hosts Successful Inauguration of NIDSUG Chapter Representatives across the State
Students from Abia State Polytechnic Aba, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State College of Education Arochukwu, and Abia State University Uturu gathered to witness the formal induction of their respective chapter presidents into NIDSUG.
The Niger Delta Students Union Government (NIDSUG) celebrated the inauguration of chapter representatives from various institutions across Abia State. The event, which took place on July 5th, 2024, at Abia State University Uturu, was marked by the theme "A Less Crime Society, A More Developed Society," emphasizing the role of youth in societal development.

Students from Abia State Polytechnic Aba, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State College of Education Arochukwu, and Abia State University Uturu gathered to witness the formal induction of their respective chapter presidents into NIDSUG. The ceremony began with a sensitization program aimed at fostering unity and promoting the welfare of Niger Delta students in Abia State.
The newly appointed chapter presidents, including Comr. Ike Winner Oluomachi (Abia State University Uturu), Comr. Precious Isaac (Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike), Comr. Ekpo Victoria Effong (Abia State Polytechnic Aba), and Comr. Duru Arinze (Abia State College of Education Arochukwu), expressed their readiness to serve and advocate for the welfare of Niger Delta students in their respective institutions.
"We are honored to welcome students from various institutions to this historic event," remarked Comr. Chika Precious Uchechukwu, State Coordinator of NIDSUG Abia State. "Today marks the beginning of a new chapter where our elected leaders will champion the interests and aspirations of our members."

Despite the absence of the national representative, Diva Faith Agomuo, the occasion was graced by distinguished guests including Honorable Guest Speaker Hon. Okey Kanu, Dr. Ann Ikechi from Abia State Polytechnic Aba, and ASP Maureen Chioma Chilaka, representing the Commissioner of Police, Abia State. They addressed the audience on the importance of fostering a crime-free environment for societal progress.

Dr. Ambitious Felix Chidubem, the staff adviser of NIDSUG Abia State University chapter, also delivered a message of encouragement and prayers for the unity and growth of the student body and the development of Abia State.
