The Michael Okpara University, Umudike, Abia State, has suspended its ongoing academic activities indefinitely due to student protests against a recent increase in school fees. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Maduebibisi Iwe, announced the shutdown following a violent protest on Tuesday morning.
