ABSU SUG Launches Personality of the Week and Icon of the Month Program
Abia State University's Student Union introduces "Personality of the Week" and "Icon of the Month" to recognize students who demonstrate selfless service.

In a bid to foster unity and recognize exceptional contributions within the university community, the Student Union's Public Relations Unit at Abia State University (ABSU), led by Comrade Ohanusi Victor, is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural "ABSU Students' Personality of the Week" and "Icon of the Month" programs.
This initiative aims to acknowledge and celebrate students who have demonstrated selfless service to their peers and the broader university community. Each week, one student will be recognized for their outstanding contributions, and at the end of the month, one of the weekly personalities will be honored as the "Icon of the Month."

Students are encouraged to submit nominations by contacting the SUG PRO via WhatsApp at 09081490958. Nominations should include the name and department of the candidate, along with evidence of their selfless service corroborated by other witnesses. Importantly, nominees should not be aware of their nomination to maintain the element of surprise.

The initiative emphasizes transparency and integrity, strictly prohibiting any form of financial inducement. This ensures that the recognition remains genuine and meritorious.
Every Monday, the "Personality of the Week" will be announced online. At the end of the month, from the weekly honorees, one student will be selected and recognized as the "Icon of the Month."
