ABSU SUG Set to Launch Students Personality of the Week & Icon of the Month Initiative

The Student Union Government's Public Relations Unit, at the Abia State University (ABSU), under the leadership of Comr. Ohanusi Victor, is thrilled to introduce the inaugural ABSU Students' Personality of the Week & Icon of the Month initiative. This initiative aims to spotlight and celebrate students who exemplify selfless service and dedication to their peers and the university community at large.

What is it about?

The ABSU Students' Personality of the Week & Icon of the Month initiative seeks to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional service and commitment throughout the designated week or month.

How to make entries?

Students are encouraged to nominate potential candidates by contacting the SUG Public Relations Officer via WhatsApp at 09081490958. Nominations must include compelling evidence of the nominee's selfless service, verified by witnesses. Importantly, nominees must be unaware of their nomination to maintain the integrity of the process.

To uphold transparency and fairness, the initiative strictly prohibits any form of financial inducement throughout its procedures.

Recognition Process:

Every Monday, the Student Personality of the Week will be announced online, highlighting their contributions and impact. At the end of each month, the Icon of the Month will be formally recognized for their outstanding achievements and service to the university community.
