The Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, Professor Maxwell OgbuluHe commended the collaborative efforts of the Nigerian Army, the Police, ABSU security personnel, and the Senate Security Committee, as well as the swift response of Governor Alex Otti in deploying additional security officers to maintain peace within the university community. has called upon the joint security forces operating within the institution to eliminate all traces of cult activity from their premises. This directive comes in the wake of a recent tragic incident where a student lost their life during a clash between rival cult groups near a private lodge along ABSU-Isuikwuato Road.

Expressing zero tolerance for any form of cultism, Professor Ogbulu emphasized his administration's commitment to ensuring the safety of both students and staff members.
