Fortune Charitable Foundation and Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Branch, have announced the cancellation of a public lecture titled "Crisis in Education in Northern Nigeria: Magnitude, Causes, and Solutions".

The lecture, scheduled for Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Assembly Hall, ABU Main Campus, Samaru, was to feature Prof. Salisu Shehu, Vice-Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State.

The organizations cited unforeseen circumstances beyond their control as the reason for the cancellation. However, they have announced an alternative program, a Marriage Guidance and Counselling session, to hold at the Faculty of Science Lecture Theater (FSLT) by 8:00 PM on the same day.
