The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) community is deeply saddened by the passing of Comrade Khalid Yusuf Shafa, a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Biochemistry and a respected member of the 41st Balewites.
Senator Khalid Yusuf Shafa was known for his leadership, dedication, and selfless service. During his time at ATBU, he significantly contributed to the welfare of students, serving as President of the Faculty of Science from 2019 to 2021 and as a Senator representing the Department of Biochemistry in the 4th and 5th Student Representative Assemblies (SRA, SUG). His commitment to student leadership and the advancement of the university community will remain a lasting legacy.
The loss of such a bright and promising individual is a profound one, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. We pray that Allah grants him eternal rest, forgives his shortcomings, and provides comfort to those mourning his untimely departure.
