ABU VC Prof. Adamu Ahmed Charges Alumni to Raise N5 Billion for Endowment Foundation

The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Prof. Adamu Ahmed, has tasked the university's alumni association with raising N5 billion in five years for the ABU Endowment Foundation.

Prof. Ahmed made the call when the National President of the ABU Alumni Association Worldwide, Malam Adamu Mamman Kontagora, paid him a courtesy visit.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the university's challenges, particularly in electricity supply, and urged the alumni association to help address these issues. He emphasized the importance of alumni support in the university's development and expressed commitment to working with the association over the next five years.

The Vice-Chancellor also called on the alumni association to provide scholarships for students to encourage academic excellence. Malam Kontagora pledged the association's support for the Vice-Chancellor's initiatives and disclosed that the association had a consolidated action plan to collaborate with the university.

The alumni president noted that the association had an arrangement to collaborate with the university on the ABU Endowment Foundation. He congratulated the Vice-Chancellor and pledged to provide all necessary support for his success.
