ABUAD VC Calls for TETFund Assistance to Private Universities

The Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Prof. Smaranda Olarinde, expressed disappointment that despite being one of the highest taxpayers in Ekiti State, the institution does not receive support from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).

Speaking to journalists in Ado Ekiti, Olarinde highlighted ABUAD's commitment to community service and positive impact on local communities through various initiatives such as agricultural programs, scholarships, industrial parks, and medical outreaches.
She underscored the university's contributions to research, including sponsoring drug research, and lamented the lack of external sponsorship despite being a major taxpayer.
