Adamawa State University Announces Promotions of Academic Staff

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Dr. Stephen A. Lagu, has announced the promotion of one Professor and three Readers.

The announcement was made during the 123rd Senate meeting held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the University Senate Chamber.

The promotions followed the successful external assessment report received by the University. Dr. Lagu congratulated the newly promoted staff and charged them to be more dedicated to their duties and engage in groundbreaking research.

The newly promoted staff are:

1. Dr. Johnson Joseph - Professor of Ecosystems Management (Wildlife Conservation and Management)

2. Dr. Dauda Ibrahim Bake - Reader in Horticulture

3. Dr. Dorcas O. Fareo - Reader in Guidance and Counseling
