Adeleke Shalome, a devoted Christian and an indigene of Oyo State, has emerged as the best graduating student in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS).
Shalome achieved an impressive CGPA of 4.85 in a class of 163 students, showcasing her academic excellence and dedication to her studies.
Despite juggling multiple responsibilities, including academic and extracurricular activities, Shalome successfully balanced her studies with her commitment to church activities. She served in various leadership roles, including as an assistant in the ushering and decoration unit at the Christian Chapel on campus and as academic secretary and Bible study secretary in her departmental Christian association.
Shalome's academic record is impressive, with CGPAs of 4.67, 4.76, 4.81, 4.82, and 4.85 in her 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 levels, respectively. She attributes her success to strong determination, adequate preparation, and a willingness to go beyond the notes provided by lecturers.
Shalome plans to contribute to the healthcare sector by promoting quality assurance in laboratory services, with a focus on saving lives. Her achievement is a testament to her hard work and dedication, and she serves as a role model for students aiming for academic excellence.
