In a heartwarming display of support for education, the Academic Staff of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) from Enugu Ezike in Igboeze-North Local Government Area of Enugu State, operating under the umbrella of the Association of Ezikeoba Academics (AEA), has extended a helping hand to ten underprivileged students at UNN.

During the association's inaugural 2024 general meeting held in Nsukka, Professor Emeka Obe, the President of AEA, presented N100,000 bursaries to each of the ten deserving students from Enugu Ezike. The aim of this initiative is to alleviate the financial burden these students face in pursuing their education.

Prof. Obe highlighted the association's commitment to supporting education, citing previous instances where over 30 indigent students from Enugu Ezike have been beneficiaries of similar bursaries. The funds for these bursaries are raised through annual contributions from AEA members.

The beneficiaries, including students from various departments such as Pharmacy, Mass Communication, and Science Education, were carefully selected from a pool of over 50 applicants by a dedicated screening committee.

In his remarks, Prof. Obe urged the recipients to utilize the bursary for their academic pursuits, emphasizing the importance of education in empowering individuals and communities.
