These projects, spanning various sectors and funded by sources such as TETFUND interventions and capital allocations, posed a significant challenge to the administration upon assumption of office.

Notable among the completed projects are the refurbishment of staff quarters, the establishment of the Institute of African Studies’ Cultural Center, and the construction of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.

Professor Igwe emphasized that beyond physical infrastructure, the administration has prioritized encouraging impactful research among staff, aiming to propel UNN further in academic excellence.
The remaining 31 projects are currently in various stages of development, indicating a steadfast commitment to advancing the university's infrastructure and academic standing.
