African University of Science and Technology Students Explore Nigerian Identity at Nike Art Gallery

Students from the African University of Science and Technology (AUST) Abuja recently embarked on a field trip to the renowned Nike Art Gallery in Abuja. The educational excursion, facilitated by Dr. Bosco Okolo-Obi from AUST’s Department of General Studies, was part of the Nigerian People and Culture course.

During the visit, students had the unique opportunity to interact with the gallery's curator and view historic Nigerian artworks up close. The trip provided insight into Nigeria’s cultural heritage, history, and political landscape, while fostering reflection on the role of art in nation-building and shaping the Nigerian identity.
