The Agbeloba Black Market has officially launched on the campus of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), offering a 20% discount on all products. The inaugural event, held on [specific date], was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Development, Prof. Kola Adebayo.

The Vice-Chancellor announced that the market would be a monthly event, showcasing and selling FUNAAB-produced goods at discounted rates. This initiative invites student vendors and local retailers from surrounding communities to participate, providing them with a platform to sell their products. The collaboration with the Student Union aims to promote student brands and enhance entrepreneurial skills, with the market scheduled to be held three to four times each semester.

Prof. Kehinde emphasized that the Agbeloba Black Market would serve as a trading platform for both the local community and residents, supporting student entrepreneurs. The Student Union President, Mr. Meschach Nwankwo, highlighted the market's role in improving students’ quality of life and boosting FUNAAB's corporate image. Mr. Nwankwo, the initiator of the idea, stressed the importance of increasing farm produce productivity for the benefit of students and staff.
