AKSU Vice-Chancellor Leads Condolence Visit to Late Obio Akpa Monarch's Family

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Professor Otoabasi Akpan, led a university management team on a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Christian Benjamin Essien, Clan Head of Obio Akpa Clan in Oruk Anam Local Government Area.

Professor Akpan expressed profound appreciation to the Obio Akpa Clan for hosting the university's Obio Akpa Campus and described the late Chief Essien as a grand patron who played a pivotal role in maintaining peaceful coexistence between the university and its host communities. He assured the family and community of the university's continued support and cooperation.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor also commended the peaceful transition process following the monarch's passing and congratulated the newly selected Clan Head-Elect, Akuku Aniefiok Sunday Fred, wishing him a peaceful and impactful reign.
