Al-Hikmah University Promotes First Female Professorg
She was promoted to reader in 2021 and currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Summer Studies at the university. Her promotion marks a significant milestone for the institution, which was founded in 2005.

The Governing Council of Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin, Kwara State, has approved the promotion of Moriam Adeyemi Aremu to the rank of professor, making her the first female professor in the university's nearly 20-year history. Along with Aremu, seven other academic staff members were also promoted to professor.
Aremu, from the Department of Business Administration, joined Al-Hikmah University in 2009 as an assistant lecturer. She was promoted to reader in 2021 and currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Summer Studies at the university. Her promotion marks a significant milestone for the institution, which was founded in 2005.
