Al-Istiqama University Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Policy on Drug Abuse in Meeting with NDLEA

Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe and drug-free campus environment. This was underscored during a courtesy visit by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Assistant Commander of Narcotics Operations, Wudil Area Command, Yakubu Abdullahi, and his team, to the university's Sumaila Campus on November 14, 2025.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya, received the delegation and discussed strategies to enhance collaboration on drug abuse prevention. The meeting, also attended by the University Academic Secretary, Malam Hassan Abdurrahman, and the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Malam Dahiru Safiyanu Kachako, aimed to strengthen efforts in promoting a secure and healthy environment for students and staff. The university reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on drugs, aligning with national efforts to combat drug abuse.
