Aletheia University in Ago-Iwoye held its maiden matriculation ceremony on Saturday, welcoming 33 pioneering students. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Amos Onasanya, advised the new students to avoid destructive behaviors such as cultism, substance abuse, and indecent dressing.

The ceremony, held at the Senate Building Foyer, was attended by prominent figures including the Founder and Chancellor, Maj. Gen. Sansadeen Awosanya (retd.), Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Onikepo Akande, Senator Lekan Mustapha, former House of Representatives member Adesegun Adekoya, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye Oba Abdulrazaq Adenugba, former President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers Prince Feyisayo Soyewo, and former Vice-Chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University Prof. Saburi Adesanya.

Prof. Onasanya congratulated the students on their admission, highlighting the rigorous selection process. He noted that the students come from three colleges and 17 academic programs within the university, which aims to provide a world-class education and produce graduates with entrepreneurial skills and creative minds.

"You should count yourselves very lucky to be among the 33 pioneer students that made it out of the many that applied. It is in this respect that I charge you all to face your studies squarely so as not to lose the golden opportunity of acquiring university education," Onasanya stated. He emphasized the importance of hard work, adherence to university regulations, and avoiding bad company.

Prof. Onasanya also praised the efforts of the founder in realizing the vision of Aletheia University and acknowledged the support from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in granting necessary approvals.

Maj. Gen. Awosanya expressed his excitement at the matriculation of the foundation students, marking the fulfillment of one of his dreams as the university's founder. He assured the students that they had made the best choice by joining Aletheia University.
