In a testament to academic excellence, Amaia Calhoun has graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Spelman College in the United States. Amaia not only achieved academic distinction but also emerged as the best-graduating student for the 2023 class.

Throughout her four years at Spelman, Amaia consistently achieved Dean's List status, showcasing her dedication to academic excellence. Her active involvement as the secretary of business and finance for the 81st administration of Spelman’s Student Government Association highlighted her leadership qualities.
Amaia's commitment extended beyond the campus, as she participated in Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) as a Career Prep Fellow and contributed to research in economics as a Spelman-Sloan Scholar and VLab research assistant.

Looking ahead, Amaia aspires to contribute to societal change by pursuing a career related to the allocation of capital. Raised in a family business setting, she has a unique understanding of the positive impact money can have on minority communities.
Post-graduation, Amaia is set to join Princeton University Investment Company (PRINCO) as an investment analyst. Her goal is to redefine the perception of capital, emphasizing its role not only in material wealth but as a powerful mechanism for social change.
