Anambra Police Spokesman Lauds Rapid Rescue of Children Abducted by Suspected Herdsmen
Esteemed Spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, has praised the swift and efficient rescue mission that culminated in the safe return of four children from the clutches of suspected herdsmen. The abducted children, all from the same family, were taken from their home in Achalla Village, Enugwu Agidi.
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, has commended the swift and effective rescue operation that led to the safe recovery of four kidnapped children. The children, belonging to the same family, were abducted by suspected herdsmen from their residence in Achalla Village, Enugwu Agidi.
In a statement issued on Saturday, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga detailed the sequence of events, highlighting the prompt response of the police following a distress call.

The parents of the abducted children reported the incident after encountering armed gunmen in their home. The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, immediately ordered the mobilization of law enforcement personnel and vigilantes to track down the perpetrators.
The successful operation culminated in the rescue of the four children, aged 13, 14, 21, and 21, close to Urum, 25 kilometers away from their home. Ikenga expressed the police's commitment to combating kidnapping in the region and issued a stern warning to those involved in such criminal activities.

The reunited family expressed gratitude for the efforts of the police, while security measures have been reinforced to prevent any recurrence of such incidents.
