ASUU-FUKASHERE Declares Strike Action Over Delayed June 2025 Salaries

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the Federal University of Kashere (FUK) has announced a total and comprehensive strike action effective from Friday, July 4, 2025. The strike is in response to the delay in the payment of June 2025 salaries.

According to the union's leadership, the strike will continue until the outstanding salaries are paid. Members have been directed to ensure full compliance, and a Branch Strike Monitoring Committee has been activated to oversee the strike action.

The ASUU-FUK leadership cited the Pre-NDC NEC Resolution and the Branch Congress Resolution on delay in payment of salaries as the basis for the strike action. The union's chairperson, Cde Shehu El-Rasheed, and secretary, Cde Mohammed Musa Bayero, have called on members to adhere to the strike directive.
