ATBU Students Union Government (SUG) and ASUU-ATBU Chapter Reach Agreement on Annual Leave

In a significant development to address the concerns of students at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), the Students Union Government (SUG) successfully held a constructive meeting with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) - ATBU Chapter.

The aim of this crucial meeting was to find common ground and discuss the upcoming annual leave of the academic staff, considering the prolonged absence of students from their academic pursuits.

During the meeting, the ASUU-ATBU Chapter expressed the necessity of the annual leave for the overall well-being, health, and rejuvenation of their academic abilities. They emphasized that this break was essential to enable them to provide the best possible education to students when academic activities resume.

Following extensive discussions and negotiations, a resolution was reached. The annual leave for academic staff will commence after the upcoming Senate meeting, scheduled for next week. This leave is set to span 30 working days, inclusive of Saturdays and Sundays, totaling 42 days.
