Babcock University, located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has taken a proactive step by urging the Medical Laboratory Scientists Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) to consider increasing the admission quota for its Medical Laboratory Science program. The call was made during the 11th induction ceremony, where 65 newly qualified Medical Laboratory Scientists were welcomed into the profession.

Professor Ademola Tayo, the President/Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, emphasized that this request aligns with the current initiative of the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government to address the “JAPA syndrome.” By expanding the admission capacity, the university aims to contribute significantly to the nation’s healthcare workforce.
