Baobab Microfinance Bank commends FULafia staff
The Baobab Group, the parent company of the Baobab Microfinance Bank, has commended Dr Charity Justin Taykun, an Associate Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), for her unwavering commitment and dedication to the well-being its staff.

A letter of appreciation signed by Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Chief People Officer of Baobab Microfinance, Eric Ntumba and Agatha Mbanefo, respectively, said that Dr Charity provided an outstanding care and support to the firm’s staff who were involved in a motor accident on January 9, 2024, along the Lafia to Makurdi road.

The letter said that Charity’s “expertise and dedication as a psychologist have made a significant difference during this challenging time.”
It said that the compassionate approach and professionalism offered by Charity alleviated the anxieties and fears of the accident victims and provided them with a safe space to express their emotions and concerns, adding that Charity’s ability to listen and offer valuable advice proved invaluable in the recovery process of the victims.

“In addition, your assessment and personal engagements with the staff have empowered them to navigate the trauma and begin the healing process,” it said, adding: “Your guidance and encouragement have not only aided in their psychological well-being but also instilled a sense of hope and resilience within them.”
The letter thanked Charity for her empathy and understanding which, it said, have left a lasting impact on the victims and Baobab Microfinance Bank.
