Bauchi State University Renamed to Sa'adu Zungur University

 In a historic move, the Bauchi State University, Gadau has been officially renamed to Sa'adu Zungur University, in honor of the renowned Nigerian revolutionary, poet, jurist, and nationalist.

The renaming ceremony, which took place on  Tuesday 14 may 2024 was attended by dignitaries from across the country, including government officials, academic leaders, and representatives of the Zungur family.

Sa'adu Zungur, a prominent figure in Nigeria's independence movement, is celebrated for his contributions to the struggle for social justice and self-governance. His political writings and activism played a significant role in shaping the country's political landscape, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
