The decision was reached during the 431st meeting of the University Senate, held on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, following recommendations from the relevant academic and disciplinary committees.
According to the Senate, the students were found guilty of multiple forms of examination misconduct and were expelled in strict compliance with the university’s regulations. The action aligns with Category 20.17 (Ai–xiii) of the General Examinations and Academic Regulations (GEAR) and Section 3.4.2 (Ai–xi) of the General Regulations Governing Postgraduate Studies (GRGPS), as applicable.

The list of expelled students spans across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, reflecting the institution’s firm stance on academic integrity.
The university emphasized that the measure underscores its commitment to maintaining high academic standards and safeguarding the credibility of its examinations.
The names of the expelled students are yet to be publicly released.
