Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has won two bronze medals in Judo at the ongoing 11th Africa University Games (FASU), co-hosted by the University of Lagos and Lagos State University (LASU).

Mujahid Musa, a student from the Accounting Department, secured both bronze medals in the 73 kg and open categories, gaining recognition at the international event.

The Director of Sports at BUK, Professor Rabiu Mohammed, expressed his satisfaction with Musa's performance, attributing the success to his rigorous preparation and the unwavering support of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas.

Chief Judo coach, Ado Cizo, highlighted Musa’s long-term commitment to the sport, noting that BUK has become a hub for judokas, having earned numerous medals at various competitions.

Musa's father, who attended the event, expressed his pride in his son's achievement and pledged his continued support.
