Bayero University, Kano Promotes 45 to Professors and 45 to Associate Professors
Among those promoted to Professor are Dr. Umar Sani Fagge, Professor of Arabic Language; Dr. Ibrahim Muazzam Saminu Maibushira, Professor of Islamic Thought and Civilization; and Dr. Tijjani Muhammad Naniya, Professor of Social and Political History, among others.

The Senate of Bayero University, Kano, at its 416th meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, approved the promotion of 90 senior academics. This includes 45 individuals elevated to the rank of Professor and another 45 promoted to Associate Professor.
Among those promoted to Professor are Dr. Umar Sani Fagge, Professor of Arabic Language; Dr. Ibrahim Muazzam Saminu Maibushira, Professor of Islamic Thought and Civilization; and Dr. Tijjani Muhammad Naniya, Professor of Social and Political History, among others.
The list of newly promoted Associate Professors includes Dr. Lawal Muhammad Bello from Electrical Engineering, Dr. Warshu Tijani Rabiu from Islamic Studies & Shari'ah, and Dr. Sunusi Iguda from Mass Communication, among others.
These promotions cover the 2022 and 2023 academic years. The university extends its congratulations to all the newly promoted academics for their achievements.
