Bayero University Student Wins Nigerian Society of Plant Protection Essay Competition

Ahmad Gano, a student from the Faculty of Agriculture at Bayero University Kano, has emerged as the winner of the Nigerian Society for Plant Protection's Essay Competition. Gano's winning essay earned him a prize of N50,000 and automatic membership of the society.

In related news, Professor Abdulhameed Umar Yusuf and Dr. Baba Sani Wudil from the Department of Crop Protection at Bayero University have been re-elected as President and North-West Zonal Coordinator of the Nigerian Society for Plant Protection, respectively. The election took place during the society's annual conference and 50th anniversary celebration in Yola.
